Online freestyle ski coaching

Nov 12, 2024

$365 half day or $825 full day. Ridiculous.

This is the low end of getting a private coach at most ski resorts.

Not many people can afford them.

And to make it worse? You're typically getting an instructor that can only do a small amount of what you want. But they'll still teach what they can't do.

And we love steez, not all of these coaches teach steez.

Only running through the motions like a robot would.

In person is nice, we get that.

But it's not always convenient.

Some of you are in ski academy's, but need that extra help on the side.

And some are going about learning on their own, getting feedback and help where they can.

This is where Slope Academy comes into play.

Not just making it affordable, but giving you coaching from professional athletes.

That have actually made it.

Let's get into coaching, and how that looks in a digital world.

But before we start I have to tell you.

We are increasing our prices December 1st.

So if you struggle with learning new tricks, reaching out to sponsors, and growing your social media join here to be locked into $34.95 until the end of winter.

Ski coaching in a digital world

Our professional ski coaches are used to looking at people and understanding what's wrong with a trick.

It's all visual, it doesn't matter if you're in person or over video.

We're here to be utilized. This is the main focus of Slope Academy, use it.

We want to see each and everyone of you succeed, and stomp your dream tricks this winter.

This is how our system works:

Have someone film you, or setup your camera.

Drop your clip in the "#coaching-section".

One of our professional skiers will screenshot each part of the trick that's out of alignment.

And then drop in a video of themselves talking you through how to fix the trick.

Then go back to the hill and take action, adjust what you were told you.

This works really well for everyones schedule, which allows us to serve more athletes.

Let's progress the sport together.

Hey Coach,

Let's look a little deeper at this.

It's a pretty difficult concept for a lot of people to wrap their head around.

So Bruce started Slope Academy about 5 years ago.

He's tested out different styles of coaching, including courses vs coaching.

With lots of feedback, and 100's of athletes coached we decided to focus on creating a platform that allows us to coach a lot of athletes.

This way we can give personalized coaching to every single athlete.

This was the best way to accelerate athlete progress.

Once you knock out one trick, and feel good about it you can have direct suggestions on what you should learn next. And how to go about it.

This makes skiing even more fun, it starts to feel like a video game where you're knocking out skills & missions.

Then all of a sudden you look back, and have this huge bag of tricks.

Hundreds of DMs - It's impossible to answer them all

Here's the issue Bruce faced in his academy.

He was only with the team on the weekends.

His coach had a lot of kids at once to try and teach.

He'd learn tricks on his own throughout the week, but then would be told he learned them wrong. Bad form.

After relearning all his tricks the correct way, that's when he started helping other skiers online.

It was just too many, and hours of answering DMs.

That's how he started coaching online, creating Slope Academy.

Now, Slope Academy's on a mission to make progress possible for everyone.

Encourage athletes to get in the park, and push themselves.

We coach everyone from beginner to expert (yes you can join if you've never hit a rail or if you're trying your first dub 10).

But we see a lot of athletes working on their Corks right now.

That's a crucial time to have feedback and coaching when you're starting these type of tricks.

Despite the setbacks

Starting at the late age of 17.

Bruce still managed to make it on Team Canada.

Competing his way through FIS all the way to World Cups he knows how the system works.

He coached his sister to the Olympics and 7 time X-Games medalist.

And has grown his following to over 100K followers just on IG (200k combined socials).

By doing this he's worked with countless brand deals & sponsors.

Allowing him to turn his hobby into a full time career.

These tips & tricks he's learned over the years is something most ski coaches can't teach about.

Learning how to use social media as an athlete is crucial to stand out in this era of skiing.

Slope Academy's only getting better and better.

If you're feeling lost, it's a good time to take a look into it.

Don't get left behind this szn.

Much love,

Slope Academy
